Product Description

A Prefabricated Heating System Core That Gets the Structure Right

Modern heating appliances perform well. Most system problems come from how those appliances are connected.

Incorrect hydraulic layout, pump positioning, and circuit interaction are responsible for the majority of underperforming or unstable heating systems. Even good designs often fail when they are assembled on site under time pressure, with each installer making unavoidable judgement calls.

NRG EcoPlus was developed to remove that risk.

EcoPlus is a factory‑assembled heating system core that fixes the hydraulic and control structure before installation begins. Instead of building a plant room piece by piece, EcoPlus delivers a complete, correct system layout in one compact unit – ready to connect to the appliance, distribution circuits, hot water, and power.

What EcoPlus Is

EcoPlus is a prefabricated hydronic system module that combines:

  • Hydraulic separation via the NRG Zone
  • Integrated system control via the NRG Lex control panel
  • Circulation, filtration, air separation, safety components, and volumiser
  • Optional integrated domestic hot water cylinder

All components are pre‑selected, pre‑piped, pre‑wired, and positioned for correct hydraulic function, not convenience.

The system arrives structurally complete. No on‑site system design. No guessing pump positions. No reworking pipework to solve flow issues after commissioning.

How It Works – From a Plumber’s Perspective

Hydraulic Separation Done Properly

At the heart of EcoPlus is the NRG Zone, which creates a stable hydraulic separation between:

  • The heat source (heat pump, boiler, or hybrid system)
  • The secondary circuits (radiators, underfloor heating, domestic hot water)

This separation prevents circuits from interfering with each other and establishes a clear hydraulic reference point. Each circuit operates independently, with stable flow and temperature conditions.

For the appliance, this means:

  • Accurate return temperatures
  • Stable operating conditions
  • Correct response to real system demand

For the installer, it means:

  • No circuit robbing
  • No masking of faults
  • Commissioning that behaves as expected

Integrated Control – Not an Add‑On

The NRG Lex control panel is built into the system, managing:

  • Zone control across multiple heating circuits
  • Domestic hot water priority
  • Electrical coordination of pumps and components

The panel is pre‑wired, protected, and accessible, significantly reducing electrical installation time while keeping everything serviceable.

Installation Advantages

EcoPlus changes the nature of the installation:

  • Shorter install time – system structure is already built
  • Less pipework – organised within a compact footprint
  • Minimal on‑site decisions – layout is fixed and proven
  • Clear connections – appliances can connect from either side, with pipe exits top, bottom, left, or right

The unit footprint is under 0.6 m², making it well suited to modern plant rooms, utility spaces, and compact housing layouts.

Because the structure is fixed at manufacture, performance does not depend on individual interpretation. Every EcoPlus installs the same way and produces the same hydraulic conditions.

Performance You Can Rely On

By eliminating hydraulic interaction and stabilising operating conditions, EcoPlus delivers:

  • Improved system efficiency
  • Stable and reliable heat pump performance
  • Reduced cycling and mechanical stress
  • Fewer commissioning issues
  • Fewer callbacks

The system is also easier to understand, service, and expand. A system built correctly once does not need correction later.

Where EcoPlus Is Best Used

EcoPlus is suitable for:

  • Air source and ground source heat pumps
  • Gas and oil boilers
  • Hybrid systems
  • Multi‑zone residential and light commercial installations

It is particularly effective where:

  • Different circuits operate at different temperatures
  • Multiple zones run simultaneously
  • Load conditions vary significantly

These are the situations where conventional layouts most often fail.

A System, Not Just a Product

EcoPlus is built on NRG Structural System Design™ – a method developed from decades of real‑world installation and fault analysis. Rather than correcting symptoms on site, it removes the structural causes of poor performance.

For plumbers and contractors, EcoPlus offers:

  • Predictable results
  • Faster installs
  • Reduced risk
  • Confidence that the system will perform as intended

NRG EcoPlus is not just another component.
It is the foundation of a heating system that works properly from day one.
